Solution Overview

5G Outdoor Macro Base Station

The integrated 4G/5G high-power base station is an outdoor, waterproof baseband + RF integrated unit that enables simple, rapid site deployment on a single pole without an equipment room. It can also backhaul over abundant non-dedicated metro network transmission resources (GPON/XGPON, etc.), saving dedicated transmission investment. Primarily serving vast rural areas lacking supporting infrastructure, it provides cost-effective wide-area outdoor coverage, quickly delivering universal rural telecommunication services and supporting the rural revitalization strategy.

Solution Architecture

Equipment Product Characteristics

Integrated Design

The 4G/5G outdoor high-power macro station uses a highly integrated structure combining baseband and RF units in one unit, with full-grade outdoor waterproof and dustproof protection. It can be deployed directly in the open on rural poles and highland sites without traditional equipment rooms, cabinets, or other supporting civil works, and the single-pole minimalist architecture greatly reduces supporting infrastructure investment.

Dual-Mode Compatibility

The equipment natively supports simultaneous 4G and 5G dual-mode operation and is compatible with wide-coverage premium low-band spectrum such as 700M and 900M. With ample transmit power, its per-site coverage radius far exceeds that of conventional small cells, achieving large-area continuous coverage while serving both existing 4G users and new 5G high-speed services.

Transmission and Backhaul Solution

Diversified Broadband Backhaul Links

The solution does not rely on carrier-dedicated transport networks; it can directly reuse existing mature metropolitan area network resources in urban and rural areas, supporting GPON and XGPON fiber PON broadband lines for base station data backhaul. This fully activates broadband conduit resources already deployed in villages, eliminating the material and construction costs of building new dedicated transmission cables.

Stable Fronthaul Networking Architecture

Sites use fiber as the primary transmission medium, with outdoor armored optical cables and waterproof fiber connectors forming fronthaul links that feature low loss and resistance to outdoor temperature and humidity and lightning interference, ensuring voice, broadband, and IoT service data from base stations is reliably backhauled to township aggregation rooms with consistently low latency and no packet loss.

On-Site Construction Deployment

Minimalist Single-Pole Rapid Site Construction

No equipment room civil works are needed; equipment and antennas can be integrally hoisted onto ordinary utility poles or self-supporting concrete poles. Construction procedures are greatly simplified and per-site installation and commissioning cycles are short, enabling rapid batch deployment of communication coverage in rural areas and fitting batch construction tasks under universal telecommunication service programs.

Supporting Outdoor Protected Cabling

Weather-resistant outdoor power cables and armored communication optical cables are used throughout, supported by lightning-protection grounding kits and waterproof junction boxes. Poles feature uniformly installed power and ELV separated conduits, together with lightning rods and grounding grids, suiting harsh outdoor natural environments such as mountainous areas, fields, and villages.

Applicable Application Scenarios

Rural Wide-Area Coverage Scenarios

The solution primarily targets rural, mountainous, and remote township areas with weak communication infrastructure and dispersed, expansive populations, while also suiting sparsely populated areas such as rural scenic spots, contiguous farmland, and county road corridors. It is dedicated to rapidly implementing universal telecommunication service projects, filling gaps in rural digital networks, and supporting IT services related to digital rural revitalization.

Wide-Area Coverage in Old Residential Communities

The solution primarily targets old residential communities built years ago with aging conduits, scattered buildings, and weak communication infrastructure, while also suiting dispersed resident areas such as contiguous housing along old streets and lanes, aging suburban compound residences, and open legacy neighborhoods without property management. It is dedicated to rapidly implementing communication upgrade and renovation projects in old communities, filling gaps in their digital networks, and supporting IT services related to smart community renovation and convenient digital services for residents.

Solution Advantages

01 Powering Rural Digital Development
02 Stable and Reliable in the Field
03 Faster Deployment and Rollout
04 Lower Overall Construction Costs
Deploys 4G/5G networks at low cost on a large scale, meeting villagers’ digital needs such as mobile internet access, rural security surveillance, agricultural IoT, and distance education. It fulfills universal telecommunications service requirements and comprehensively drives the digitalization of rural revitalization.
The highly protected all-in-one unit, paired with a full suite of lightning-proof, aging-resistant outdoor cabling components, withstands extreme temperatures, rain, and sandstorms. Its low long-term failure rate dramatically cuts routine inspection and maintenance workloads at remote sites.
The minimalist single-pole deployment mode dramatically compresses construction cycles without complex equipment room planning, enabling batch, synchronized activation of sites across multiple villages and towns - quickly completing full rural 5G coverage and shortening project delivery timelines.
It eliminates the two major expenses of equipment room civil works and dedicated transmission lines, reuses existing broadband network resources, and reduces auxiliary materials via integrated equipment - cutting total rural site investment across infrastructure, transmission, and equipment dimensions with exceptional cost-effectiveness.
