Network cables are mainly made of copper and are divided into shielded and unshielded categories. Core models are matched to different scenarios by performance level, meeting transmission needs from homes to enterprises. Copper cable models and scenarios CAT5e: Supports 1000 Mbps for homes and small offices, connecting computers, routers, printers, etc. CAT6/CAT6A: CAT6 transmits 10 Gbps (within 90 m), and CAT7 up to 100 m, for enterprise equipment rooms and HD surveillance, suited to high-bandwidth devices. Most network cables are used in campus buildings, inter-city branch networks and long-distance in-building cabling, such as connections between IDC equipment rooms and the Internet.
