CPR Flame-Retardant Cables

CPR flame-retardant cable refers to cable that complies with the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011/EU) and EN 50575, and its core advantage is precisely graded fire safety performance. In terms of characteristics, cables are classified into seven classes from Aca to Fca according to heat release and flame spread rate. Class Aca is nearly non-combustible with extremely limited flame propagation. It also features low smoke and low toxicity, with smoke density and acidic gas emissions meeting EN 61034-2 and EN 60754-2, and restricted halogen content. It also provides basic mechanical strength and insulation stability, suiting fixed building wiring needs. Applications focus on high-safety scenarios: Class Aca is used in nuclear power plants and core areas of data centers; B1ca/B2ca classes suit crowded buildings such as shopping malls and hospitals; Class Cca and below are used in ordinary residential and industrial premises. CPR compliance is also a mandatory requirement for market access of building cable in the EU.
