Solution Overview

5G Indoor Distribution Solution

This solution useslow-loss 5G dedicated RF feeder cablesas the transmission carrier for indoor distribution signal sources, supporting the full 700M–3.5GHz frequency band. With 5G RRU signal sources connected to power dividers, couplers and indoor antennas via trunk and branch feeder cables, and leveraging low VSWR, high shielding and low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant properties, the cables are installed along indoor cable trays to deliver seamless 5G coverage in office buildings, shopping malls, hotels and other scenarios. Compatible with 4G/5G co-network reuse upgrades, the solution effectively reduces high-frequency signal attenuation and resists electromagnetic interference, ensuring indoor 5G uplink and downlink rates and latency performance to meet commercial and government-enterprise indoor networking requirements.

Solution Architecture

Solution Hardware and Transmission Media

Dedicated RF Feeders

The system uses custom 5G low-loss RF feeders as the main signal transmission lines, supporting transmission across all mainstream communication bands from 700M to 3.5GHz. The cables feature built-in high shielding layers and low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant jackets, combining fire resistance, anti-interference, and low signal attenuation, suited to enclosed in-building cabling environments.

Complete Set of Supporting Devices

5G RRU equipment serves as the core signal source, paired with trunk feeders and branch feeders connected in series to distribution devices such as power splitters and couplers, with indoor omnidirectional or directional antennas at the ends, forming a complete signal distribution and transmission chain with uniformly matched device bands and no signal compatibility loss.

Cabling Construction Specifications

Standardized Tray Installation

All RF cables are laid independently along building ELV cable trays, with power and ELV conduits physically separated. Cable bend radius and fixing spacing are strictly controlled to lower VSWR values and reduce power loss of high-frequency 5G signals during transmission.

Co-Network Renovation Construction Logic

It supports reusing existing 4G in-building distributed systems for renovation; there is no need to tear out all original conduits and cabling. Simply replacing feeders and components rated for 5G bands enables 4G and 5G signals to share the same cable, greatly reducing renovation work.

Applicable Coverage Scenarios

Commercial and Government/Enterprise Indoor Scenarios

Dedicated to enclosed indoor spaces such as office buildings, large shopping malls, chain hotels, government office buildings, hospitals, and large convention centers, it mitigates high-frequency signal attenuation through walls and achieves full 5G coverage inside buildings, eliminating dead zones in stairwells, underground garages, and similar areas.

Dense-Pedestrian Public Scenarios

Suited to high-density pedestrian scenarios such as large complexes, transportation hubs, indoor venues, and underground commercial areas, it evenly distributes indoor signals to address heavy user counts, large concurrent traffic, and easy congestion, ensuring large numbers of users connect stably and communicate smoothly at the same time.

Construction Acceptance Standards

Signal Link Testing

After construction, every RF link is comprehensively tested for VSWR, insertion loss, and signal power to ensure smooth 5G high-frequency signal transmission with no abnormal attenuation or link faults, meeting carrier network-access standards.

Full-Coverage Signal Testing

Point-by-point walk-through testing is performed in weak-signal areas such as indoor offices, corridors, elevators, and basements to ensure uniform signal coverage throughout, thoroughly resolving issues of weak dead-zone signals, frequency hopping, and lag.

Overall Acceptance and Delivery

Concurrent speed tests on both 4G and 5G networks and latency and jitter tests are completed, and all device installation techniques, cabling specifications, and fire safety standards are verified; formal acceptance and delivery proceed once documentation is complete and indicators are met.
