HYAC-50 Pair Telephone Cable

HYAC is a self-supporting urban telecommunication cable with solid polyolefin insulated copper conductors and a moisture-barrier PE jacket. The insulated copper conductors are twisted into pairs, and the pairs are stranded into the cable core. An aluminum-plastic composite tape is applied longitudinally as the moisture barrier, followed by a PE jacket, and the whole is integrated with a steel wire strand inside a figure-8 PE jacket to form the cable. It is mainly used for transmitting audio, analog signals at 150kHZ and below, and digital signals at 2048kbit/s and below. Under certain conditions, it can also be used to transmit digital signals above 2048kbit/s.

  • Conductor: annealed bare copper wire with copper wire diameters of 0.40, 0.50, 0.60, 0.70, 0.80, 0.90 mm
  • Insulation: high-density polyethylene; the color of the insulated conductors is marked according to the international color code
  • Insulated pairs: individual insulated conductors are twisted into pairs with different lay lengths and identified by specified color code combinations, reducing mutual interference and crosstalk between pairs with low power loss
  • Jacket material: polyethylene (PE) jacket
  • Self-supporting messenger wire: the messenger is a 7-strand galvanized steel wire strand coated with thermoplastic compound to prevent corrosion of the steel wires

  • DC resistance (20℃): 0.4mm≤148Ω/km; 0.5mm≤95.0Ω/km; 0.6mm≤65.8Ω/km; 0.8mm≤36.6Ω/km
  • Dielectric strength: no breakdown between conductors at 1 kV for 1 min; no breakdown between conductor and shield at 3 kV for 1 min
  • Insulation resistance: with each core grounded against the remaining cores, greater than 10000MΩ.km for air-core cables and greater than 3000MΩ.km for filled cables
  • Working capacitance: average 52±2nF/km
  • Far-end crosstalk attenuation: the average power of specified combinations is greater than 69dB/km at 150kHZ
  • Ambient operating temperature: -30℃~+60℃
