Loose Tube Stranded Lightly Armored Optical Cable (GYTS)

The GYTS optical cable consists of 250µm fibers placed into loose tubes made of high-modulus material, with the tubes filled with water-blocking compound. The center of the cable core is a metallic strength member; for certain fiber counts, a layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the strength member. The loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member into a compact and circular cable core, with water-blocking filling in the interstices. The core is wrapped with double-sided coated steel tape (PSP) and finished with an extruded polyethylene jacket.

Standards: • YOFC GYTS optical cable complies with YD/T 901 and IEC 60794-1 standards.
