1m LC-ST OM1 Mode Conditioning Patch Cable, PVC (OFNR)

LC SM 9/125μm to ST OM1 62.5/125μm Mode Conditioning Patch Cable Standard and custom mode conditioning patch cables (MCPs) for 62.5/125 and 50/125 are used with 1000BASE-LX/LH and 10GBASE-LRM optical transceivers transmitting in the 1300nm window and applied to multimode equipment. Launching single-mode laser signals into the center of a multimode fiber generates multiple signals that confuse the transceiver at the other end of the fiber. These multiple signals, caused by the differential mode delay (DMD) effect, severely limit the fiber distance for gigabit Ethernet operation. Mode conditioning patch cables eliminate these multiple signals by allowing the single-mode launch to be offset from the center of the multimode fiber.
